The Great Escape Cars Triumph TR6 is available to hire by the day, weekend or as part of our road trips or Classic Taster Experiences. It's subtly altered from standard to bring out the TR6's true character - we've removed the bumpers to reduce weight, fitted bucket seats and a big bore exhaust. But you still have what made the TR6 popular at the time - comfort, a good roof, an easy gearbox and the powerful straight six 2.5 litre Triumph engine. This TR6 is one of the best we've driven, thanks to extensive renovation by a TR6 specialist.

In the 1960s Britain excelled at producing no-nonsense, hairy-chested sports cars that were as successful over here as they were on the other side of the pond. Few were more successful than the Triumph TR6, the last in an illustrious line of similar two-seaters produced by the Coventry firm.
Today the TR6 represents much that was good about 60s and early 70s two-seater motoring: it looks good, it's quick and it's easy to drive. Where the E Type has 'svelte' sown up, the TR6 prefers a more back-to-basics approach, and it works. It's a great car for touring the Cotswolds, enjoying the scenery and the basso-burble of the exhaust.
