How does the 60 minute experiences work?
Your Classic Taster and Country Drive experience is based on 60 minutes, 20 miles driving in your chosen car. If you've got a multi-car experience, such as a V12 Dilemma, you'll get that same time and distance in each car.
All of our experiences take place on quiet country roads. You will not have to drive with an instructor in the car.
When you arrive at our unit in Worcestershire we'll arrange the paperwork with you and explain the main controls and characteristics of each car you will be driving. We'll ask you to check and agree the condition of the car before you go.
We offer a choice of four different 20-mile driving routes. They're explained very simply in our route guides - some cars also have pre-programmed satnavs. Once you've chosen your route and are happy to drive the car, you're ready to hit the road.
Your cost of your experience is based on the time (60 minutes) and distance (20 miles). Please ensure you stick to these amounts to avoid the risk of extra costs.
When you return the car we will check the condition and mileage with you.
When can I take my experience?
We run the 60 minute experiences on certain days during the year - please click on the link on this page for details.
There are two types of experience days - those involving E Types (such as E Type-only drives and multi-car drives involving E Types) and those for non-E Type cars. Please check the dates to ensure you book onto the correct day.
You can book your experience slot between 9am and 4pm on these days. Please call 01527 893733 or email firstname.lastname@example.org to check and discuss availability.
How many people are there in the car?
We have a mixture of two and four seater cars. You can bring as many passengers as can safely fit in the car - a maximum of one passenger in two seaters and three in four seaters. There is no charge for this.
If you or your passengers have any potential access issues or disabilities, please ensure you contact us first before you arrive. Our cars will accommodate people up to 20 stone and 6 ft 5 inch tall. If you are outside those limits pelase contact us before arriving.
Who can drive?
Anyone aged 25 to 75 inclusive with no more than 6 points and at least two years driving experience can drive on our road trips. You will need a UK, European, USA, Australian or New Zealand driving licence. Other licences can be accepted on referral - please contact us before booking.
If you are over 20 stone and/or over 6ft 5in tall, please contact us before booking.
Are there any access or disability limitations?
Any customer with a valid licence fitting our insurance criteria can drive. We have a range of cars with differing access levels. If you do have a disability or are concerned about accessing our cars please contact us before booking.
Do I need special clothing?
No. Our experiences take place on public roads so no special clothing is required. However, we recommend dressing appropriately for the weather and avoiding heavy shoes as some of our cars have narrow pedal boxes.
What happens f the cars break down?
Breakdowns are an unavoidable risk with old cars. We maintain our own cars and they deliver excellent reliability despite very high mileages. However, if we have to substitute cars before an event we will tell you and give you the option to rebook.
If a car breaks down during your experience we will come out to recover you. If the breakdown disrupts the experience and your opportunity to drive a particular car we will provide a voucher to repeat the experience at a future date.
If the car you have booked is not available for your experience date we will notify you in advance where possible and give you the chance to rebook. If the car breaks down once you have arrived - or while you are travelling to us - we will offer you an alternative car to drive FOC and the chance to return and drive the original car at a future date.
Please note that it is a condition of your experience that you accept the risk of breakdown.
Is fuel included?
Fuel for your route is included. This also includes a maximum 15 minute drive in one car after the event when you return to our base.
Do you provide parking for my car?
Ample parking is provided adjacent to our unit. We are on a quiet industrial estate in a cul de sac. Parking is at your own risk.
What paperwork do I need to bring?
When you book with us we will send you a full list of what you need to bring with you. This will include relevant links to download paperwork. When you arrive you will need to bring your driving licence, completed Driver Declaration Form and a print out of your licence details from the DVLA website. Without one or more of these you cannot drive.
What happens if the weather is bad?
If the forecast for the event suggests that it will be unsafe or not enjoyable we will contact you to discuss rearranging dates. We won't run an event if we believe it will be unsafe or compromise your enjoyment.
What is the Collision Damage Waiver?
For £15 per driver we offer the option to reduce the insurance excess from £1000 to zero. This reduces your liability in instances where we cannot reclaim damage costs from a third party or you are at fault. It does not cover damage to bodywork or mechanicals caused by misuse or breaking the rules of the Highway Code.
