Upper age limit for drivers increased to 75
Great Escape Classic Car Hire has increased the upper age limited for drivers of its classic hire cars. Now drivers up to and including 75 years old can rent cars as diverse as an Aston Martin DB6 or a Morris Minor Traveller from the Great Escape car fleet. The upper age limited has been increased from 70 by Great Escape's insurance company.
Great Escape has noticed an increasing number of requests from classic car hire customers in their 70s who would like to rent a car but have previously been prevented from doing so. The new upper limited should be a relief to many retired people who enjoy weekends whizzing around the countryside in a variety of classic hire cars.
"Hiring a classic car is a great way to enjoy a variety of old cars without the hassle and cost of ownership," says Graham Eason of Great Escape Classic Car Hire. "This pastime is particularly popular among retired people who often work their way around the different classic car hire fleets in the UK. Until now they had to stop at 70. With our new insurane policy they are free to drive our cars up to 75."
