26 Dunlop Road, Hunt End Industrial Estate, Redditch, B97 5XP. Tel: 01527 893733
When you enter the estate, continue straight ahead and you will find us about 100m along on the right. PLEASE DO NOT PARK IN OUR YARD - we are constantly moving cars and trailers and you risk damage to your car.
You will find ample parking in front of and to the side of our unit. We are on a quiet, safe industrial estate but parking is at your own risk.
When you arrive for your road trip each driver MUST bring the following or you will not be able to drive. Unfortunately there are no exceptions:
- Driving licence - card or paper version depending on what you hold
- Completed Driver Declaration Form (download here)
- Credit card for insurance deposit (no funds are taken)
- DVLA licence print out (access it here)
arrival & departure time
Full day road trips - please ensure you arrive by 8.30am for a 9am departure. Most full day road trips return to our unit between 4pm and 5.30pm.
Half day road trips - please ensure you arrive by 12pm for a 12.30pm departure. We expect to return to our unit at around 4pm.
clothing & shoes
Please dress appropriately for a day in classic cars. Old cars generally have poor weather protection and poor heaters. In particular wear suitable footwear - most classic cars have narrow pedal boxes unsuitable for heavy shoes.
lunch & dietary requirements
If you have any specific dietary requirements, please let us know at least 7 days in advance. We will do our best to accommodate all requests.
Full day road trips include lunch. We will send you a menu in advance to enable you to pre-order. Please ensure you send us your choices to avoid disappointment.
We provide water and snack bars in each car.
how the day works
On arrival we will provide tea and coffee before a short briefing on the day and the cars. At this point we will explain each of the cars in some detail and there will be time for questions. At each car changeover we will provide an abbreviated version of this introduction. Please ensure you feel safe and competent to drive the car.
Each car is provided with a route book and 'postcode cheats' leaflet. And, in most cases, a pre-programmed satnav. These enable you to travel between each stop. You will also find an emergency number to reach your support crew.
The day is split into 3 or 5 stages, depending on the duration of your road trip. You will drive 3 or 5 cars, one per stage. If you are sharing with a passenger you will drive the full stage. If you are sharing with another driver you will split the stage. At the end of each stage the support crew will allocate a new car to you by drawing keys from a hubcap.
Lunch or afternoon tea is included in your experience depending no the duration.
Your road trip is accompanied by two experienced event managers. They will follow you in a 4x4 with trailer carrying a spare car.
Half Day road trips enable you to drive 3 cars, full day experiences include use of 5 cars. We have a fleet of 20 cars and we will notify you in advance of the exact range that we will use on your event. Due to the nature of classic cars we may need to substitute cars in the event of breakdowns or mechanical faults. We expect to include some or all of our top end cars including E Types, XK150, Porsche 911 and HMC Healey. If we are unable to provide the cars we consider acceptable we will give you the chance to rebook.
We usually ahve a maximum of 8 cars on each event. Cars are allocated to drivers during the day by drawing keys from a hat. Our event managers oversea this process to ensure that every driver gets a fair share of cars available.
We allow time at the end of the experience for you to take one car out for 15 minutes on a short additional drive.
We strongly recommend that you look at our advice films and car guides to familiarise yourself with our fleet. You can view them here. This will help you get more out of each car more quickly during the day.
We really want you to enjoy your road trip. If you have any questions before you arrive, please call us on 01527 893733 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
