arrival & departure time

Full day road trips - please ensure you arrive by 9.30am for a 10am departure. Most full day road trips return to our unit between 4pm and 5.30pm.

Half day road trips - please ensure you arrive by 11.30am for a 12pm departure.  We expect to return to our unit at around 4pm.

60 Minute Experiences - when you booked your experience you will have received a start time.  Please ensure you know what this is and please arrive 15 minutes before your start time to complete paperwork.

We aim to run to time.  But please allow some flexibility in the event that your start time has to be pushed back slightly.

clothing & shoes

Please dress appropriately for a day in classic cars.  Old cars generally have poor weather protection and poor heaters.  In particular wear suitable footwear - most classic cars have narrow pedal boxes unsuitable for heavy shoes.

Once you have booked the time and date for your experience our Terms & Conditions apply.  If you need to change the date or time we may apply a £20 administration charge per person.  Dates and times cannot be changed within 14 days of the experience.

lunch & dietary requirements

If you have any specific dietary requirements, please let us know at least 7 days in advance.  We will do our best to accommodate all requests.

We provide water in each car (road trips).

how ROAD TRIPS work

On arrival we will provide a short briefing on the day and the cars.  At this point we will explain each of the cars in some detail and there will be time for questions.  At each car changeover we will provide an abbreviated version of this introduction.  Please ensure you feel safe and competent to drive the car.

Each car is provided with a route book with 'postcode cheats.' The books are very easy to follow and part of the 'classic' experience.  These enable you to travel between each stop.  You will also find an emergency number to reach your support crew.

The day is split into 3 or 5 stages, depending on the duration of your road trip. You will drive 3 or 5 cars, one per stage.  If you are sharing with a passenger you will drive the full stage.  If you are sharing with another driver you will split the stage. At the end of each stage the support crew will allocate a new car to you by drawing keys from a hubcap.

Your road trip is accompanied by our experienced event managers.  They will follow you throughout the experience.

When you arrive we will check your paperwork and driving licence.  You will have the option to take out the Collision Damage Waiver (£15) to reduce the insurance excess to zero (from £2,500).

We will then show you around the car and introduce you to the controls and other useful information.  We will also explain the driving routes available and provide route guides.

When you are ready to leave, head off using the route guide.  Each route allows 45-60 minutes driving.

Please ensure you return to our unit on time (60 minutes) to avoid additional costs.

We strongly recommend that you look at our advice films and car guides to familiarise yourself with our fleet.  You can view them here. This will help you get more out of each car more quickly during the day.
