TRIUMPH STAG

The Triumph Stag convertible is the perfect way to burble around the British countryside on a summer day - or leave the top up and enjoy some quiet winter motoring.

Great Escape Classic Car Hire has two 1974 Triumph Stag convertibles for hire, one in Shropshire and one in Yorkshire.  Both cars are finished in white with black hoods.  The Shropshire car has a black interior with a manual gearbox while the Yorkshire car is finished in dark tan leather with an automatic gearbox.  Both cars are full convertibles but can be specified with optional hardtops for winter use.

Our Triumph Stags are in very good condition and are used regularly for advertising shoots, including for Italian Vogue magazine.

The Triumph Stag is available to hire in Shropshire or Yorkshire for single days during the week or minimum two days at weekends (Friday PM to Sunday PM).

The Triumph Stag was designed, like many Triumph cars, by Michelotti, and is perhaps one of his greatest works.  It was conceived as an upmarket four seater convertible to rival the best from Mercedes.  Powered by a smooth 3 litre V8 and with all cars supplied as convertibles with optional hardtops, the Triumph is a great classic car to enjoy year-round.

The Great Escape Classic Car Hire Triumph Stags are unusual in that they are fitted with the rare manual gearbox with overdrive.  Although most Triumph Stags use automatic gearboxes, the manual is the option that releases the potential of the car.  The Triumph Stag is a relaxed grand tourer that also enjoys the sort of winding A-roads and B-roads that characterise our local area.
