CLASSIC CAR HIRE PACKAGES
When you choose a Great Escape classic sports car you can choose to put your own break together - or we can help. Our Classic Car Hire Packages give you the benefit of our local experience and knowledge. We've built each one around a theme and made them flexible so that you can tailor them exactly to suit what you want.
Our classic car packages aren't off-the-shelf, standard items. And because you're dealing with us direct you may find that they're more competitive - and give you more - than some other gift voucher packages.
We test every part of our packages. So for each one we only use suppliers that we know and have experience of. And if you use one of our driving routes, you're only using roads that we've actually driven. We don't use suppliers because they give us discounts (none of them do anyway). We only use suppliers that we're confident will give you a great service and help create an experience to remember.
The packages on this page are ideal for wedding anniversaries, birthdays and special occasions. They can be bought as gift vouchers that are valid for 12 months.

V12 Dilemma
They just don't make engines like the classic Jaguar 5.3 litre V12 any more. It's an engine so smooth that you can safely balance a £1 coin on it while it is running. After you've driven a V12, everything else just seems unrefined.
Our V12 Dilemma package lets you put this 285 bhp engine to the test in two of its most iconic settings - the Jaguar E Type convertible and the Jaguar XJS convertible. These cars represent two very different approaches to grand touring from two different eras, but sharing the same engine. Spend 24 hours touring the Cotswolds in each car and then tell us which you think is best. The package includes use of both cars and accommodation in a luxury B&B.
You can choose to start your experience in either car. Then spend 24 hours driving the first car before we deliver the second car to your local accommodation. Tour the Cotswolds in that car - using our recommended routes if you want - and then return to our storage site 24 hours later.
In addition to our normal hire package the V12 Dilemma experience includes free extras worth £100, including delivery and collection of one car to your local accommodation and a gourmet picnic lunch for two.
With the V12 Dilemma you can choose to head north, south, east of west from our storage site and travel as far or as little as you like. We'll discuss your preferences and create a bespoke package to suit you.
1973 Jaguar E Type Roadster
Regularly voted the most beautiful car ever made, the E Type is the archetypical classic car. When Jaguar dropped its ultra-smooth V121 5.3 litre engine into the Series 3 EType it created a brilliant grand tourer that is effortlessly powerful. Over 30 years after it went out of production the E Type is a car that bears the weight of expectations ably on its curvaceous shoulders. The Great Escape E Type is a late Series 3 with Old English White paintwork, black leather interior, four speed manual gearbox and power steering.
1988 Jaguar XJS Convertible
When Jaguar replaced the beautifil EType with the lithe XJS in 1975 buyers were surprised. But the XJS went on to outsell the E Type and remain in production for longer. Today coupe and convertible XJS' are sought-after classics recognised for their style and presence. Jaguar finally chopped the roof off the XJS in 1988 and created the elegant convertible, generally acknowledge as the most attractive variant. The Great Escape Jaguar XJS is an early 1988 pre-facelift V112 convertible with light blue metalllic paintwork and blue leather interior with walnut dashboard. It is fitted with every available optional extra including heated seats, cruise control, powwer roof, air conditioning and a trip computer. It benefits from a TWR rear seat conversion to create a 'compact' four seater.

Romantic Escape
Our Romantic Escape package will turn a weekend break into a romantic escape that creates real and lasting memories. Imagine touring the Cotswolds lanes in a beautifil classic, stopping for a great picnic lunch and then spending the afternoon wandering one of the Cotswolds' famous gardens or historic houses.
Every Romantic Escape is different. After a brief consultant by email or phone we'll use ouor local knowledge to put together a unique package that includes your choice of Great Escape car, a gourmet picnic lunch for two, a driving tour and two entry tickets to a Cotswolds attraction like Hidcott Manor Gardens or Snowshill Manor. Everything will be planned for your great day - just turn up, collect the keys and go. The Romantic Escape package includes free extras worth £25.
We can also recommend accommodation for your Romantic Escape - or add it into the package (at extra cost).

Gourmet Indulgence
Great Escape is based in the garden of England with access to some of the best food ingredients in the country. So we've matched our classic cars with great good to create our Gourmet Indulgence package.
With our Gourmet Indulgence package you'll collect your choice of car from our storage site, follow a unique driving tour that we've mapped out for you and then stop for lunch at one of the great restaurants and pubs that we've personally tested. Then, further down the road stop for afternoon tea at one of the Cotswolds' great tea rooms.
No two Gourmet Indulgence packages are the same. Using our local knowledge we create each one exactly to suit you, based on a brief consultation. We'll arrange the car, the route, the lunch and the teas - just pick up the keys and go.
The Gourmet Indulgence package includes free extras worth £25.

Relaxation Day
You don't need a massage to soothe away the occasional stresses and pains of daily life. With the keys to our 1957 Morris Minor Traveller you can rediscover a gentler, calmer, quieter pace of life that will really resettle your heatbeat.
From behind the wheel of the Great Escape Morris Minor the world looks very different. It's slower for one thing. With our Relaxation Day package you get 24 hours use of the Morris, gourmet picnic lunch, a visit to the Cotswold Lavender Farm to stock up on calming potions and Lavender Scones, all rounded off with a trip to one of the finest views in the area where you can just sit, relax and unwind. The spacious four-seater Morris means that you don't need deck-chairs or park benches - just flip the front seats forward, jump in the back and you've got a really comfortable sofa - and a great view.
Your car will be supplied with the day's newspapers, current magazines and coffee table books so that you've got everything you need for a relaxing break.

How It All Works
We develop every Great Escape experience package based on our own experience. We test every element, including the routes we recommend, the places to eat and stay and the places to visit.
We use this experience to create the basic packages. When you book a package we then talk to you about exactly what interests you and what your preferences are. Then we find restaurants, picnic ingredients, destinations, places to stay and roads to drive on that reflect them. We spend at least 3 hours creating your individual package. So every package really is unique.
How We Make Every One Unique
We have developed a set of simple questionnaires that enable us to work out what you want from your experience. Then we use our database of local information to match your preferences with our recommendations.
Our Local Knowledge
We've lived in the local area for over 10 years and we love nice things. Over that time we've dug out the great little restaurants, pubs, tea rooms, B&Bs and places to visit that we love. And our friends also recommend great places. Other places we just know are good because people are always talking about them and they're always busy. And we keep on trying new places out as they arrive. So when we recommend somewhere for you to go, we've almost always been there before.
