Servicing & Maintenance

We buy the best available classic cars. And we maintain them to extremely high standards. We continue to drive them ourselves thousands of miles each year and we only use specialists to maintain them. As well the annual service and MOT we put them in for a six-monthly review.

Our classic cars are fully Waxoyled and stored in dehumidified Carcoons in a secure storage compound with 24 hour security. Before collection your classic car will be thoroughly cleaned and valeted and subject to a 15-point mechanical check.

New 18-Point Pre-Hire Commitment

We supply each car with a signed Pre-Hire Check, so you know that the Great Escape classic that you're driving has been properly maintained. This 18-point check covers oil, water, brakes and transmission fluid levels, steering, brakes, gearbox, engine, windscreen, tyres, seatbelts, lights, instruments and bodywork and includes a 4-stage valet process. The valet and checking process takes over three hours and we undertake it for every vehicle before every hire.

However well we treat them, our classic cars are still old classic cars. They will never be as reliable as a modern car and the risk of breakdown is higher. But they are all covered by comprehensive breakdown cover. Our terms and conditions explain our policy regarding breakdowns.
