Our mid-blue metallic Jensen Interceptor is based in Harrogate, Yorkshire and is a 1974 J-Series car - fitted with the 7.2 litre Chrysler 440 cu in V8 engine.  It was upgraded to Series 4 specification by the Jensen factory in the late 1980s.  This car has a beautiful burgundy leather interior and since we took these pictures we've replaced the original steering wheel (which had become damaged) with a wooden Moto-Lita three spoke wheel with individually machined centre boss.  We have kept this car totally as standard, including the Carter carburettor, so it drives exactly as it was intended. It has a rebuilt engine and delivers about 15mpg, which isn't bad for an Interceptor!  It also features a fully functioning Blaupunkt radio cassette.  Click on the links to read the history of this car and Jensen Motors.

The Mark 3 is the best-looking and most comfortable version, thanks to attractive alloys and improved seats.  Ours was upgraded by the factory in 1989 with several detail improvements.  The paint and interior combination is quite unusual and very distinctive.  New customers could choose their Interceptor in any colour and we're not quite sure what colours ours is - we've only every seen one with the same finish.
