DORSET JENSEN INTERCEPTOR
The Great Escape 6.3 litre 1969 Jensen Interceptor based in Dorset is unique. It has undergone a nine year £70,000 nut and bolt restoration completed in late 2008. Hiring this car for a day or weekend from our Dorset base for tours of the New Forest or Jurassic Coast is a genuinely unique opportunity to drive an 'as new' Jensen Interceptor.
This car is available to hire from our Dorset fleet.
The car is built not for purists but for driving. Originally a Mark 1 car - it retains its original Mk1 exterior aesthetics - it has been renovated with Jensen Interceptor Mk3 running gear and interior to create a car that combines the best of the 10 year Interceptor production run.

This car has been totally rebuilt and is finished in Dark Blue with cream leather interior. The engine bay, featuring the Chrysler 6.3 litre V8, is fully detailed and even colour-coded and features an Edelbrock carburettor. It runs on P4000 tyres with original Wolfrace alloys - a common accessory on Jensen Interceptors in period. Other upgrades include Xenon headlights, Kenlowe radiator fans and high quality radio/cassette.
When we collected this car it had travelled just 89 miles since the restoration was completed. We then drove it 200 miles from Tunbridge Wells back to Worcestershire - including an hour of stationary traffic on the M25 - and it proved utterly fautless. It is hugely enjoyable to drive, effortlessly quick and as close as anyone will now ever get to driving a 'new' Jensen Interceptor.
