Our Jensen Interceptor, Alfa Romeo Spider, Jaguar XJS V12 convertible, Morris Minor Traveller 1000 and Jaguar E Type V12 convertible classic cars are available to anyone. But our insurance does stipulate a few restrictions. As a quick overview all classic car hire drivers must be over 25 and under 70, have held a full UK driving licence for a minimum of 5 years and have no serious motoring offences on their licences. When you arrange classic car rental of one of our classic cars you agree to our terms and conditions. We will also ask for proof of the driver’s identity (eg. a copy of your passport) and proof of address (eg. a utility bill), which must be sent to us at least two weeks before the drive date. One week before the drive date we will also contact the driver to take a refundable credit card deposit (usually £750) against any damage to the vehicle. The deposit is refunded at the end of the drive following an inspection of the car.
You will generally collect your classic car from our secure storage facility near Redditch. When you book a classic car we will send you clear directions to the site. The site has 24 hour security and off-street parking is available at your own risk.
On arrival we will ask to check your proof of identity again and view a copy of the driver’s licence. We will also take a photograph of the driver with the classic car for our records.
Before we hand you the keys to one of our classics we’ll take each driver through the controls, take them on a short accompanied test drive and explain the characteristics of the classic car. They may have experience of classic cars or may even have driven an identical classic car in the past, but our familiarisation drive is a compulsory requirement of our insurance.
