The Mercedes SL was the convertible car to have in the 1980s.  Today it is one of the most popular open top classic cars because it is so easy to drive and looks great.  The Great Escape Classic Car Hire Mercedes 280SL is available to hire in the Cotswolds. It is perfect for a weekend away, whether covering long distances in supreme comfort or idling around the countryside.

When Mercedes Benz replaced the iconic Mercedes Pagoda with the SL in 1971 they stuck to the same tried and tested formula.  The SL shares the same restrained and elegant style of the Pagoda but is more powerful, is a more modern drive and seats four.

The Great Escape Mercedes R107 SL is finished in metallic blue and has automatic transmission, an easy to operate hood and a large boot. It is fitted with the powerful 2.8 litre  engine. It is available to hire by the day on a self drive basis (and we don't insist on minimum 2 day hires at weekends).  Every day you book includes a full 24 hours use, unlimited mileage, insurance and breakdown cover.
