FORD CAPRI
London back streets, cardboard boxes and perms. It's got to be The Professionals. At Great Escape we grew up in the 1980s so we love all those cool and classic 70s and 80s icons. The Ford Capri dominated our TV screens in the late 1970s and 1980s as the car of choice for Bodie and Doyle and filled our streets as 'the car you always promised yourself.'
Today the Ford Capri is a rare car but, we think, a true classic. 2009 was the 40th anniversary of the launch of the Capri and to celebrate we started our own Ford Capri hire fleet. Now we have a choice of Ford Capri cars to hire from either our Suffolk or Cotswolds fleets.

Our 1984 Ford Capri S features the 2 litre Pinto engine but makes up for its smaller engine compared to the Ford Capri 280 Brooklands by being lighter and a little more nimble. The Ford Capri 280 is more powerful and more luxurious. Both cars are very comfortable, have excellent heaters and feature sunroofs.
Few cars capture the spirit of those times like the Ford Capri. 'The car you always promised yourself' is now available to hire for weekdays and weekends. It's a great way to celebrate a 30th 40th 50th 60th 70th birthday, wedding anniversary - or make your wedding really different.
