Can a car made in the 1990s be a classic yet? Well, it's the subject of much debate but here at Great Escape we don't worry too much about definitions and details like that. When we choose a car for our fleet we ask a simple question - is it interesting, unusual, great to drive and above all, will it make people smile?

So some of the cars on this page may not, by some reckoning, be classics yet. But they do fit our criteria. Some are also final editions of evergreen classic cars - and in many ways the best and easiest versions to dtive and live with.
